Arranging a funeral

We are here to walk alongside you, at what can be a very sad and difficult time. Our aim is to support you and your family through the process of planning and arranging your loved one’s funeral or service of thanksgiving. Please read on to understand what to expect when planning your loved one’s funeral.

Contact

Contact Us to discuss proposed dates and times for the funeral. Once this is confirmed the member of clergy taking the service will arrange a date to meet with you. Our funeral leaflet is available here and there is more information available on the Church of England's website. 

Meeting

Meet with the member of clergy to share your memories of your loved one and discuss your ideas for their funeral. During this time, we will consider music, hymns, readings and poems. Once the outline of the service is finalised, we will send it to the funeral directors who will turn it into an order of service.
