St James’ Church
Set in the heart of South Wraxall, St James Church is a beautiful rural church cherished by its congregation and supported by the whole of the village community. The church works closely with the neighbouring church of St Peter’s in Monkton Farleigh with services alternating between the two churches on a Sunday morning. Anyone who enjoys the quieter, more traditional styles of worship would find themselves at home here.
The village of South Wraxall, with a population of 320 people, is a small but very social village and the church takes an active role within this. Our full English breakfasts during the winter months and afternoon teas in the summer are very popular and a wonderful way for people of all ages to come together.
St James’ is a beautiful church that can accommodate about 120 people to a service. It is available for weddings, funeral and baptisms. For more information, please visit our Life Events page.
